Illumination - Ligh tin the Darke 2010
Guitar Hero

Grand Prize

Prizes for 2010 have not been announced yet, but last year we gave away four CD packs, an iPod shuffle, and a Fender guitar with marker and backstage passes to meet the artists and let them sign the guitar.

Details and Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I Need to Sign a Permission Form?
A: No, however if you are under the age of 18 your legal guardian is responsible for any legal responsibilities associated with winning the prize.

Q: How do I win the Prize?
A: To make it fair to everyone, anyone who pays can fill out a drawing entry form to be entered into the drawing to win the final prize. Difficulty level does not matter.

Q: Cool. How many times can I enter?
A: You may enter into the prize drawing only once. Each person who enters has an equal chance to win, no matter how many times they play. Your hand will be marked once you are entered to make sure there are no duplicate entries.

Q: What happens if I win?
A: If your name is drawn, you must be present to win. If the person is not present, then another name will be drawn until someone wins. The person(s) who win(s) must pose for a picture with their prize. This picture can be used on the Illumination Light in the Darke website and other publicity materials (newspapers, related websites, email blasts, etc.) The person who wins is not allowed using the prize for unlawful or hurtful activity.

Q: Which Guitar Hero game am I playing? What console?
A: Last year we played Guitar Hero: Smash Hits on a Sony PlayStation 2. This year we have not picked a game and will not until all new guitar hero games are reviewed and compared.

Q: I thought you were a non-profit organization, why the fee?
A: The $1.00 fee is to cover equipment and prize costs, nothing more.
